Meet Nikki Nichols, Holistic Postpartum Doula. Based on the Front Range of Colorado, I support families as they journey through the early postpartum period—offering compassionate care, nourishing support, and grounded guidance during one of life’s most transformative transitions.
Whether you’re welcoming your first baby or expanding your family, the shift into parenthood is monumental. My role is to walk alongside you, providing a steady presence, practical help, and intuitive insight to ensure you feel informed, resourced, and held through it all.
Caregiving has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. From helping care for my siblings to supporting children, elders, and new parents as a babysitter and nanny, I’ve always felt called to be in service to others. That calling eventually led me to study Early Childhood Education and English at CU Boulder and, later, to train as a postpartum doula.
I’m trained in both physiological and traditional postpartum care approaches, weaving together holistic practices from Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Mayan healing traditions. My style blends reverence with realism.
Who I Serve
As a queer woman from a mixed and blended family, I’m especially committed to serving families that don’t always see themselves reflected in mainstream culture. I created Maiden to Mother Doula to support families of all kinds through this sacred threshold.
What I Offer
My services include:
- Postpartum planning sessions
- In-home nourishment and rest support
- Nutrition guidance rooted in healing traditions
- Overnight newborn care
- Ceremonial care, including herbal baths, sound healing, womb closing, and other more usnique offerings, including haircuts and ceremonial hand-poke tattoos.
Every offering is infused with presence, love, and the intention to help you feel calm, connected, and capable.
Why “Maiden to Mother”?
This name is inspired by the archetypal journey many parents undergo. While “mother” is often gendered, I see this transition as one of identity, embodiment, anddeepening responsibility for all parents. The phrase honors the profound inner and outer shift that occurs when welcoming a new life, and the need for deep care as you move through it.
