Leticia is a bilingual (English/Spanish) birth and postpartum doula trained by DONA International and San Francisco General Hospital. No matter the language, subject, or age range, she has always been drawn to education, social justice, and taking care of people.
Becoming a doula was a lifelong passion of Leticia’s. It was an obvious choice for her, as it requires the combination of compassion and care with a wide range of skills that she has developed in different industries, including how to work within hierarchies, to access resources and create systems, and to meet people where they are at and get them what they need.
Leticia has always been someone grounded to turn to in a moment of uncertainty and she is passionate about ensuring voices are heard and needs are met. As a queer woman and proud immigrant, she is especially passionate about creating and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for everyone, no matter their gender identity, sexual expression, relationship/family structure, primary language, religion, or culture.
She is especially dedicated to making sure that what she teaches is individualized, approachable, and genuinely understood, taking into account the diversity and intersectionalities that inform each family’s birth experience.
Leticia will work with you and your chosen team to develop an individualized birth/postpartum plan. Her care plan includes prenatal and postpartum visits and education, unlimited support from the start, and anything else that makes you and your family feel supported, prepared and empowered during this important time. She will work with you throughout your entire pregnancy, provide physical and mental support during labor, and continue your care through your postpartum experience.
Leticia is also a nature lover, artist and passionate about creativity. She welcomes the opportunity to guide you through a creative project surrounding this life-changing time for you and your family.
